About IPGR
Curious about how everyday things are manufactured, how creation really happens, and why it’s still so damn hard to get right? The heart of human progress lies in manufacturing — from daily essentials to the innovations shaping our future — and at IPGR we dive into those challenges head-on in the focus of container glass production. Creation itself is a divine act on shopfloors worldwide, and glass as a truly sustainable material is one of the fields where smarter knowledge can unlock cleaner, better production. As our Working Student (m/f/d), you’ll help build a Knowledge Representation System in the IPGR research domain so, so we structure the progress for future generations.
International Partners in Glass Research e. V. (IPGR) is a research association of the container glass industry. IPGR was founded in 1984 and currently has eleven members with locations in Europe, North and Central America, Japan, and Australia.The focus of its work is on pre-competitive research and development related to the production of glass containers and the associated manufacturing processes. In particular, the focus is on energy- and emission-efficient developments for melting cullet and raw materials, novel raw material compositions and optimized glass properties, as well as the forming of hollow glass bodies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with modern frameworks such as Vue.js or Node.js
- Interest in UI/UX design and user-centered thinking
- Curiosity for topics like graph theory or data visualization (nice to have)
Requirements for applicants
- Strategic and structured way of working
- Very good command of English; German language skills are an advantage
- Proactive, flexible mindset. Hands-on attitude and willingness to support wherever needed
- Eagerness to learn and contribute across different parts of the product
