Authentications<\/h2>\n

For applications authenticated copies of certificates are often required. We can authenticate documents free of charge for RWTH students if they meet certain requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rules and requirements<\/h3>\n

You must<\/span> bring the copies that you want to have authenticated yourself.<\/strong> The copies must be single-sided and readable. The copy must have the same format as the original.<\/p>\n

The documents must be academic documents<\/strong> (diploma, internship certificate, language course certificate, …).<\/p>\n

We are not allowed<\/strong> to certify personal status documents (identity cards, marriage certificates, birth certificates, police clearance certificates, …).<\/p>\n

The certification must be addressed to a specific addressee<\/strong>. We only certify to public authorities and institutions<\/strong> (e.g. colleges, universities, district governments, state examination offices).<\/p>\n

We must be able to understand<\/strong> the documents (German\/English or with certified translation).<\/p>\n

The documents should be brought loose to us.
(not stapled)<\/p>\n

The sheets should not be too thick
(normal printing paper)<\/p>\n

Authentication of other documents<\/h3>\n

If you cannot have your document authenticated by us because it does not meet the requirements, you can have it authenticated by the city of Aachen<\/a> or other authorities.[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text disabled_on=”on|on|on” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” disabled=”on” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n

Authentications during Corona<\/h3>\n

Due to the current situation, we offer our authentication service twice a week and only with prior appointment booking<\/strong> through our booking system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We carry out the authentications in our offices in the Mensa Academica. You can find a map<\/a> here.<\/p>\n

You must wear a mask in our office.<\/p>\n
