We are the flying club at RWTH Aachen University, and we offer students the opportunity to learn to fly gliders and obtain a glider pilot\u2019s licence in a student environment.<\/p>\n
Our more experienced pilots regularly take part in cross-country flying camps and competitions. You can also train with us to obtain an aerobatics licence and become a flight instructor!<\/p>\n

Students from various disciplines work together with us on the mechanics, electronics, and software. The biggest challenge is to make a small boat reliable enough to complete the weeks-long Atlantic crossing without human intervention.<\/p>\nCulture and Sports<\/h3>\n
Our club life is characterised by our weekly club evenings with relaxed chats at the bar and regular sailing camps. We also organise the largest regatta on Lake Rur, the Blaue Band, every year.<\/p>\n
