Studying as a parent
Studying with a child can be a big challenge. Especially since the introduction of the bachelors and masters degree, detailed advice on childcare, student financing, housing options and other points of contact for specific questions and problems is very important.
The AStA offers detailed advice on all aspects of studying with a child. Do not hesitate to contact us by mail, by phone, or in person.
In addition, the RWTH Family Service also offers advice on all questions relating to successful studies with children. They can help you with your search for childcare facilities, the arranging of nannies or babysitters and much more.
The student body of the RWTH supports the >”Uni und Kind e.V.”< for children under 3 years of age as well as the day care center ”Zauberschloss” financially by allocating a small portion of the semester fee for them. Both institutions were initiated by parents and grant preferential admission to children whose parents are enrolled at the RWTH while only charging a small fee.
