Field by the Rütscher Straße

The field on Rütscher Straße is located in the immediate vicinity of the towers and is a real insider tip for relaxing outdoors as a barbecue meadow!
Kurgarten / Aachener Stadtgarten

The Kurgarten is located in the northesternpart of the city center. In the Kurgarten you will find various lying lawns, gardens, barbecue areas and even a mini-golf course.
Von-Halfern-Park

On the northern edge of the Aachen city forest is the Von Halfern Park in the style of an English landscape garden with trees up to 200 years old.

Hollandwiese

The Hollandwiese offers a lot of space, which makes it especially suitable on full days. Optimal for a relaxed barbecue evening.
Veltmanplatz

The all-famous duck pond: in central city location with a small lake. If you are lucky, you will meet a duck family!
Nelson-Mandela-Park

The old Klinikums-Park offers the possibility to lie down comfortably on a meadow or to do sports.
Westpark
Barbecue area, sports, sunbathing lawn, recreation
Westpark has a soccer field, ping pong tables, and a basketball court, and on warmer days you can also barbecue in the park in designated areas.
Frankenberger Park
Recreation, walking, eating ice cream
The park around Frankenberg Castle is a great place to picnic, study for upcoming exams in good weather, eat ice cream, or just relax.
Lousberg
Sunbathing lawns, sports, recreation
A good place for walks in the open air. North of the Lousberg can use the extensive park or hammocks on the north slope.
Kennedypark
Barbecue area, sunbathing lawns
A good 52,000 m² of green space in Aachen’s Ostviertel district, where you can also barbecue in good weather.
Recreational center C.A.R.L.
Free time, study, sitting
If you’re longing for a real lecture after a long Zoom meeting, stop by the trees in front of the C.A.R.L.. But remember, don’t leave your bike!
Meadow near the Ponttor

A small lowered green strip with a direct view of the Pont Gate.
Ludwigsallee
Walking, recreation
In the north of the city center near the Ponttor. On a green strip on the Ludwigsallee you can relax or go for a walk.
Republikplatz
Recreation
Directly at the Westbahnhof and TEMP is the beautiful Republikplatz. It is perfect for a short break.

The Kaiser-Friedrich-Park at the Hangeweiher offers a beautiful environment with its lake. It is ideal for a short walk, but you can also sit on the lake terrace.
