From Monday, 15.03.2021, the University Library and the Medical Library will be open for borrowing media for RWTH members and for media returns for all users without appointment.
Access will initially be limited to 2 simultaneous users, so there may be longer waiting times.
Opening hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The learning spaces remain closed.
Likewise, the Information Center (IZ) and the Patent and Standards Center (PNZ) will again be open to RWTH members starting Monday.
Information Center (IZ)
During opening hours you can use the infrastructure of the IZ for up to one hour. For this, a binding appointment by e-mail (iz@ub.rwth-aachen.de) is necessary.
The following services are available again:
Consultation (limited)
Use of the public PCs incl. printing station
Use of the microforming equipment
Use of the workstations for collections worthy of protection
Daily newspapers
Scanning
Copying
Use of the open access stock of natural sciences and technology
Patent and Standards Center (PNZ)
At the PNZ, research can once again be carried out on site.
A search workstation can be booked every day for standards inspections or personal searches in the expert databases for patents, trademarks and design.
Searches can be carried out within two time units: From 9 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm. Both units can also be booked consecutively, but a break must be taken for airing.
