The state government of North Rhine-Westphalia has just announced that the individual standard period of study will again be increased by one semester in the winter semester 2021/22. If you have already been enrolled in the last three semesters, the standard period of study will be increased by four semesters. The requirements for an extension of the BAföG entitlement have thus been created! We are very pleased that the state government has now extended this necessary measure again after all (even for students in the master).
