On April 1st, 2021, the wages for all student and scientific assistants at RWTH will increase! Student assistants will receive 11,80€ instead of 11€ per hour from April 1st. Scientific assistants with a Bachelor’s degree will receive 14€ instead of 13€ per hour in the future. For scientific assistants with a master’s degree, the wage will increase to 18,20€ per hour. Please note that the wage increase may cause you to exceed the 450€ limit and you may no longer be covered by your family’s health insurance. You can use the “Hiwi-Komfort-Calculator” from the department 8.1 to find out how much you will earn after the wage increase.
