AISA Cultural Evening: West Bengal Day
West Bengal Day, marks the state’s recognition and its distinct cultural and historical heritage. Though West Bengal was established on this day in 1947 following India’s independence and partition, the official observance of West Bengal Day began more recently. The celebration highlights Bengal’s rich legacy of literature, art, music, and freedom struggles, honoring icons like Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. It serves as a reminder of the state’s contributions to India’s cultural and intellectual landscape.
