In the past few days, some steps have been taken by the university to slow down the rate of infection at our university as well. We have summarized the most important points for you here (30.10.20):

  • From Saturday, 31.10.20, all learning rooms will be closed.
  • The winter semester will be completely digital. The only exception to this are laboratory internships, whose learning goal cannot be achieved without attendance.
  • The canteens will remain open for students and staff – Access is no longer permitted for persons who cannot identify themselves as students or university staff. The to-stay service remains available for the time being.
  • The entire sports operation of the university sports center will be closed as of Monday. The Königshügel track and the Finnbahn track will remain open for the time being. The timing for resuming operations will depend on future developments.
  • The publication of the exam dates will most likely not take place until mid-December. The dates are currently being planned according to the current situation. To make planning easier, you can also register for the exams now.
  • Lectures end on 12 February.
  • The application deadline for admission-free Bachelor’s programs was extended today until the end of the registration period (13.11.20). In addition, students without language certificates can be enrolled under the condition that the language test is successfully taken in the winter semester.
  • The University Library remains open for the rental service.
  • The Filmstudio has cancelled all film showings for November.
