Vaccination services in Aachen

Vaccination is available in doctors’ offices or from company physicians. If you need a vaccination, please contact your family doctor if possible. If you do not have a family doctor, you can find a doctor near you in the vaccination register of the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Nordrhein.
In the StädteRegion Aachen, the Red Cross operates two public vaccination centers in Alsdorf and Roetgen. You can book appointments on the website of the DRK Corona Protection Center.
In any case, the vaccination is free of charge for you!

Vaccination at the University Medical Center

The University Medical Center offers Corona vaccinations at the University Hospital Aachen. Currently, the mRNA vaccine Comirnaty from BioNTech / Pfizer is vaccinated there. Vaccination requires a free appointment booking through RWTH. A single appointment booking is possible. A booster vaccination is now also possible for all age groups.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring with me?
For vaccination at the vaccination bus and in the health department, you must bring an ID card (or a comparable document for identification). A yellow vaccination pass, while beneficial, is not required for vaccination.

You will find out all the information about what you need to bring to a vaccination at the University Medical Center when you book your appointment.
Do I need a yellow vaccination pass?

No. You can get vaccinated everywhere even without a yellow vaccination pass. Of course, the vaccination pass is worthwhile, since this is internationally recognized. If you do not have the vaccination card with you, you can have the vaccination transferred to your vaccination pass later at a doctor’s office or have a new vaccination pass issued.

Can I also do the booster vaccination?

Yes. Both the first and the second and third vaccination are carried out at the vaccination bus. In the case of booster vaccination, only the vaccine-dependent periods for booster must be observed (from 5 months after the second vaccination and 4 weeks for Johnson & Johnson).

Is there anything I need to be aware of when booking a single appointment at the university medical center?
In any case, please bring the necessary documentation of a first vaccination or proof of recovery with you to the arranged vaccination appointment. This is the only way that a proper, medical consultation can take place at the University Medical Center. When scheduling your appointment, please take into account the minimum vaccination intervals of 3 (BioNTech) or 4 (heterologous vaccination) weeks set by the Standing Vaccination Commission. If you are unable to attend the appointment or have already attended an appointment for vaccination elsewhere, please notify the University Medical Center immediately via email at coronaimpfung@hsa.rwth-aachen.de. In particular, please refrain from making multiple reservations.
Where is the university medical center located?

The vaccination through the university medical center takes place in the Spiegelsaal of the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen (floor E, corridor 03, room 01). The route in the Uniklinikum is marked with signs. You can find a description of the way in this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6WWvgn-fNQ
