This FAQ is kept as up to date as much as possible. Also pay attention to our social media channels and the communication channels of the RWTH itself for updates. In all cases: If you are stuck in your situation and you see the progress of your studies endangered, please contact lehre@asta.rwth-aachen.de, stating your course of studies and the exam concerned. Our Education Department will help you as much as possible.

The postponement of the exam has an impact on the start of my traineeship/ a scholarship/ Erasmus/ a job start/ a stay abroad or similar. What can I do?

In this case you should write an email to your departmental advisor and your responsible examination board as soon as possible, explaining your situation in detail and describing how time-critical your problem is. The earlier you contact them, the faster a solution for your case can be found.

When will my exam take place?

There will be no central date for repeating cancelled exams. The faculties will plan their respective dates decentrally, but in cooperation with the central administration. This means for you above all, that you have to keep an eye on your mails.

Everyone involved is working together to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, but if there are any overlaps, please contact the responsible exam planner of your faculty or department or your departmental student advisor directly – if that doesn’t help, please contact lehre@asta.rwth-aachen.de and we will try to find a solution together.

Due to the storm, I was not able to participate in an obligatory course. What happens now?

Courses take place regularly on Monday, also with obligatory attendance. If the storm is the reason that you could not attend on Monday and you are in trouble because of it, send an email to your lecturer explaining the situation. There should be possibilities to make up for the missed appointment.
